About the Book
BARS and WINDOWS is a diary that follows a voyage from despair to joy. It is unique from all others as it speaks in two languages: painting and poetry.
Pat Paxson’s paintings evolved from her interest in observing and investigating the energies of relationships and interactions, usually between two people, as well as the energies of personal space. Her poems are not a description of any painting nor are her paintings illustrations of any poems.
Each wonderful work is done independently, distinct yet related. The poems and paintings all date from the l990’s, each being a metaphor for the other. Follow Paxson’s remarkable journey through her unforgettable poetry and art.
